The artist of 29 years was awarded the Millennium Billboard at the ceremony and is also nominated alongside Lady Gaga for Best Song Dance by "phone".
Beyonce was honored by First Lady Michelle Obama, Lady Gaga, Stevie Wonder, mother Tina Knowles, among others, in a pre-recorded video before the performance.
Bey performed after Tina presented the award to Beyonce, who gave a moving speech.
